Study tour and official visit to Finland, February 19 – March 1, 2017
From February 19 till February 24, 2017 the study tour to Finland was organized within the project for the representatives of the State Agency of Environment Protection and Forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic: Environment Monitoring Administration, Issyk-Kul Territorial Administration and Issyk-Kul Biosphere Territory General Directorate.
The main goal of study tour was theory and practical exercises on water and soil-sediments sample preparation for the Persistent Organic Pollutants (PCB/COP) analyses with assistance of gas chromatograph with electron capture detector (GC-ECD).
Training was held on the basis of SYKE’s laboratory Center. It was the first step of trainings cycle on GC-ECD POPs analyses methods.
All participants received Certificates confirming successful raining completion.
From February 27 till March 1, 2017official visit to Finland of the representatives of SAEPF, the State Inspectorate on Technical and Environmental Security and Environmental NGOs took place.
The main subject of the visit was study of the advanced Finnish experience in the field of civil observations in order to introduce this component into existing environmental monitoring system in the Kyrgyz Republic. Also participants have met with Ms. Lea Kauppi, Director General of SYKE. Based on the request of SAEPF’s representatives, the visit to Haltia Informational Nature Center for discussion of issues related to environmentally-friendly construction/design was organized. Currently the “green construction” principles are very interesting topic for study by stakeholders from the Kyrgyz Republic in order to promote energy efficient and environmentally friendly construction technologies in Kyrgyzstan.
