Cooperation with DDPSSES Ministry of Health
On August 29-30, 2017 under support of Project, training on fish samples preparation took place. Training was provided by SYKE’s expert Ms. Katri Salonen. Sample preparation was carried out in the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision (DDPSSES) of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between project and DDPSSES.
Fish samples have been taken from Son-Kul lake within the environmental status study of the lake. Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) analyses will be implemented by the specialists from DDPSSES in accordance with methods accredited in chemical-analytical Laboratory of DDPSSES. Additionally to fish samples, the benthos samples will be analyzed in Lab. The part of prepared fish samples will be used for interlaboratory comparisons organized under the Project support by the Finnish Environment Institute.
Analyses results will be used for report of Son-Kul lake environmental status.
