Official visit to Finland/Projects board meeting, November 2016

24112016 PBFrom November 21 till November 25, 2016, official visit of the representatives from the State Agency of Environment Protection and Forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (SAEPF) to Finland took place. The delegation was headed by Mr. Arsen Ryspekov, Deputy Director of SAEPF, and National Coordinator of project "Capacity Building of the Kyrgyz Republic on Son-Kul Lake status assessment for environmentally sustainable development" (KGZ-Water / Son-Kul).

24112016 PB 1Delegation also included representatives of the Environmental Policy and Strategy Administration, Environmental Monitoring Administration and department of Forest Ecosystems and Especially Protected Nature Reserves of SAEPF.The visit programme consisted of meeting at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Finland, where following cooperation has been discussed and current year results summed up. Also one of the main mission tasks was Projects Board meeting for ICI projects implemented by SAEPF and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) under support of the Finnish Government through FinWaterWEI II (Programme for Finland"s Water Sector Support to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan).

 

24112016 PB 2At the KGZ-water/Issyk-Kul Project Board Meeting results for 2016, work plan and budget for 2017 have been considered and approved.

 

The results of the first KGZ-water/Son-Kul Project Board Meeting were official signing of agreed Project Document by the leaders of both partner authorities and adoption of Project work plan and budget for &nbsp"2017.

 

24112016 PB 3Additionally awareness-raising and information meetings have been organized for participants. The main subjects presented were" S YKE"s International Co-operation" crucial information and innovative solutions for a sustainable society" and Public monitoring experiences in Finland. Also especially for SAEPF representatives, study visit to the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia located at the territory of Nuuksio National Park was organized.
